Daphné Allanore, Ceramic Artist
Artist Bio:
French-born and now based in Brentwood, NH, I create ceramics shaped by a lifelong exploration of movement, language, and stillness. My path has moved through contemporary dance, technology, international collaboration at MIT, and most recently, writing. As a writer and artist, I’m drawn to forms that hold presence and process. My ceramic work emerges from this cross-disciplinary practice—tactile, contemplative, and rooted in transformation.
Artistic Statement:
Rooted in a background in dance, my ceramic work explores the tension and harmony between movement and stillness. Inspired by nature and the commotion of life, I shape clay as a way to capture presence—tactile, questioning, and alive. In my home studio, I experiment with form and surface, seeking simplicity that speaks and vessels that hold more than just function.
